Page Charges Coming in January, 2021

Due to increased costs of publication, the Environmental and Engineering Society (EEGS) is instituting a new fee schedule for articles published in Journal of Environmental & Engineering Geophysics (JEEG). The fee schedule will begin for new articles submitted beginning January, 2021. The fee schedule was also implemented with to encourage authors to become members of EEGS.

For members, (the first or corresponding author needs to be an EEGS Member) the flat rate per article is $100 (USD).  Excess pages (for each page beyond 10 journal pages) will be $50 per page, and color figure fees of $100 per color figure will be assessed.. 

For non-members, (join EEGS or renew membership.) the flat rate per article is $500, and an excess page charge (for each page beyond 10 journal pages) will be $100 per page.  A color figure fee of $100 per color figure will be assessed.

EEGS Introduces a New Webinar Series:  TAG
Talk About Geophysics!  


Combining a casual, welcoming virtual environment with a valuable learning opportunity, the TAG series will range from scientific presentations to discussions about students' career development.  Each month, the TAG webinar series will feature networking as well as a scientific presentation, a discussion of small business topics, a published author's latest article, or application specific talks ranging from magnetic surveys to borehole drilling.  Experts in their field will lead discussions, answer questions and share insights.  Here are just a few of the upcoming topics:

  • EEGS' Task Force Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Webinar on Navigating Intergenerational Differences in Geophysics

EEGS Membership Renewal Underway

January 1, 2021 begins a new year of EEGS membership - current membership expires December 31, 2020.  If you've not already renewed your EEGS membership, please do so now.  Take this item off your list and renew by paying the renewal invoice you received.  If you have not received your renewal invoice, please log in to the EEGS web site and check to be sure your email address is current:

  • From the EEGS web site (www.eegs.org), click on "Quick Links" on the right-hand side of the page and log in (your username is typically your email address)

  • Click the tab "My Profile" and then "Renew" to see your invoice

  • Your 2021 Membership renewal invoice can be paid by credit card online or by downloading, completing, and mailing the printed invoice along with payment to to the EEGS offices.
