EAGE is proud to announce that Dr. Yaoguo Li (Colorado School of Mines) will teach the EAGE Education Tour (EET) 11 course "Quantitative Interpretation of Gravity and Magnetic Methods in Mineral Exploration" in Denver, Colorado. Open Call for Papers - TLE Special Section: Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles (UAV)

The Leading Edge (TLE) announces the Call for Papers for a special section on UAVs scheduled for publication in July 2017. The special section will showcase applications of UAVs that contribute to geophysical, geological, geotechnical and infrastructure surveys and assessments. Contributions utilizing airborne, marine and surface platforms using conventional and novel sensors as well as innovative data analysis and multi-sensor data integration approaches are encouraged.  The paper submission deadline is March 15, 2017. ESTCP Requesting Proposals for Funding Opportunity

The Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP), a Department of Defense (DoD) program, released a solicitation for Demonstrations of Environmental Technologies beginning in Fiscal Year 2018 (pre-proposal deadline March 9, 2017).  Full description of ESTCP's solicitation of proposals for demonstrations of innovative environmental technologies found here

Funding Available for Environmental Research and Development

SERDP will be funding environmental research and development through the SERDP Exploratory Development (SEED) Solicitation.  The SEED Solicitation is designed to provide a limited amount of funding (not to exceed $200,000) for projects up to approximately one year in duration to investigate innovative approaches that entail high technical risk or require supporting data to provide proof of concept.  This year, SERDP is requesting SEED proposals for the Munitions Response program area. All SEED proposals are due March 7, 2017 by 2:00 p.m. ET.  The SONs and detailed instructions are available on the SERDP website.  

SAGEEP 2017 Abstract Submission Deadline Past 

The deadline for SAGEEP 2017 abstract submissions has past.  Notices of acceptance or rejection have been sent to authors.  The Schedule at a Glance, including the Technical Program lineup, will be available soon.  The 30th Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems (SAGEEP) March 19-23, 2017 will be held concurrently with a National Ground Water Association meeting (March 20-21).  Be sure to visit SAGEEP 2017 - new items being added regularly.
